DepED Undersecretary for Administration Alain Del B. Pascua and company visited Cantugas Cultural Minority ES (CCMES) of Mainit II district spearheaded by Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Angelito M. Naquila, Mainit II School Administrators, and the CCMES School-In-Charge Elgie B. Adlaon on March 10, 2022.
Usec Pascua and his team, along with Division Physical Facilities Engineer AL Peter L. Cañeda, went around for building inspection, assessment, and validation of the newly-constructed school building that was turned-over on March 2, 2022. The 19- million school building was part of the implementation of the Last Mile School Program that intends to address the gaps in resources and facilities of schools, like CCMES, that are located in geographically isolated and disadvantaged and conflict-affected areas (GIDCA), where subsequently, the Mamanwa Tribe residing at Barangay Cantugas is the main benefactor. The said project serves as a testament to the strong conviction of the Department of Education to provide learners conducive, child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe, and motivating environment.
As a result of the visit, the administrators of Mainit II district vowed to be good stewards in the property’s upkeep, protection, and utilization that would allow learners to focus once limited face-to-face classes take place at Cantugas Cultural Minority ES.
